Salvation Army of Dane County

The Salvation Army Food and Personal Essentials Pantry, located at 3030 Darbo Drive, is open to families and individuals who are residents of Dane County. Food Pantry Families choose their own groceries. The amount of non-perishable food each household takes home is determined by family size and is supplemented by additional choices of meat, pastries, bread, and produce. We believe that all adults deserve the dignity of choosing what foods they want for themselves and their families. Customers may shop the pantry once in a 30-day period.

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
