Want an email when this food pantry updates their hours or other information?
Please email [email protected] to arrange for a dropoff or a pickup. We do not have any cold storage so items must be fresh and ready to be distributed. Nutrition is one of our main factors in trying to provide fresh, healthy food. In general, our groups live in shelters, encampments, and/or have founded community groups. We try to help eliminate perfectly edible food that has been discarded and marked for landfills. Our dedicated supply shed is located across the breezeway and kitchen door at the back of Plymouth UCC Church. Please be mindful that we make our main donations on Thursdays. We are closed holidays. Wednesday afternoon is the perfect time to drop off produce donations. Please label clearly: This donation is for Food of God (FOG). Thank you.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
