We recommend calling or emailing the pantry ahead of time to be sure their days/hours of operation have not changed.

Clifford Grove Food Pantry

Clifford Grove Food Pantry serves families, individuals, and the elderly each month. The food pantry have been serving around 30-65 people within the CSRA counties. It would be a great opportunity for us to give out fresh vegetables and fruits, toiletries, and personal hygiene items as well. Within our counties these items would help with giving families, individuals, and elderly a healthy balance of nutrition and personal items with our monthly food pantry. This will give our church and food pantry an opportunity to be supportive with assisting in lowering health issues with the people whom we are serving within our community and counties around the CSRA region.

ProducePedia

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
