Dundee Womens Club Food Recovery Pantry

We are a food recovery pantry located at Dundee Community Center. We currently recover food 7 days a week and are open to dispense food Tue 4-6pm and Sun 10am-2pm. We also offer a free community dinner the last Wed of the month. We serve those in need in Yamhill County, 75 to 100 families/persons a week (the families are diverse; young, old, homeless, veterans, ect.) We take almost everything, items past being edible by humans are shared with farmers to help feed chickens, ducks, geese, and pigs. The few items animals cannot eat go to compost. Our aim is to have zero waste. We do have facilities to store and refrigerate and/or freeze donated food. Any non food donated items (toys, toiletries, blankets, ect. are given out to those in need.

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
