I am writing to you today on behalf of The Children's Table of Bronson, Florida, a local independent food bank that has been serving the community for over 30 years. We are dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children and families in need.
We are currently seeking to establish a relationship with local businesses and organizations that may have unwanted donated food items. We would be grateful to receive any food items that you are unable to use, such as canned goods, dry goods, fresh produce, and non-perishable items.
Our organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and we are operated by Bill Brown, a 94-year-old who started the food bank out of his own home 30 years ago. Bill's passion for helping others is an inspiration to us all.
We are located in Bronson, Florida, and our drivers can come to your location to pick up food items. We are flexible with pick-up times and can accommodate your schedule.
Your donation would make a significant impact on the lives of the children and families we serve. We are committed to using donated food items responsibly and efficiently to ensure that those in need have access to healthy meals.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Stacey Kile for - The Children's Table of Bronson, Florida

ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
