Lopez Food Share is a food pantry on Lopez Island, San Juan County, WA. We serve up to 1200 people a month. Young families, seniors, veterans, and LGBTQIA members are part of our community.
We are open to the community on Wednesdays from 11:30 am - 4 pm; because of that, we can also accept produce on Mondays, as well. Not after Wednesdays. Same location as above, please.
Unopened, unused food items are welcome for donations. Please no clothes or household items / no rusty or soiled items / no items more than 2 years expired / no home-canned items / products must be factory sealed, with one exception: dry dog or cat food.
Please bring them to 1008 Dill Rd. during the following hours:
Tuesday from 10:00-2:00 p.m.
Wednesday from 10:00-4:00p.m.
Donations can always be left on the green and grey rack to the left of the exit sign. Please abide by our donation guidelines above.
Thank you so much.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
