Families Matter Food Pantry is a food pantry located in Monaca, PA. We are currently serving 500 plus families on a weekly basis who are fighting food insecurity. Distribution times are Mondays for our Veterans from 1-2PM, Tuesdays anyone in need is welcome from 3-4PM, and Thursdays anyone in need is welcome from 1-2PM. Our organization also partners with other local pantries and ensures that any food we receive is able to be distributed as quickly and efficiently as possible. We love to give our families produce options that are healthier for them, that they would typically be unable to afford.

Want an email when this food pantry updates their hours or other information?
Farmers can make arrangements for after hours donations if necessary. We also have a drop off bin in front of our building where food may be placed, as long as temperatures will not interfere with the quality of the produce.
Food can be dropped off anytime we are here and after hours in the food drop off bin located out front. If you are bringing fresh food please call 724-709-7718 or email [email protected] to let us know when you will be stopping in.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
