Carolina Cares Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of all people with food insecurity living in The Triangle. We assist with no cost food, gently used or new clothing, shoes, household, and infant or children items, back to school, holiday meals, and gifts for children. We would love to provide our clients with fresh fruits & vegetables and can also use toiletries as well.

While we are 100% volunteer run many of us work full time on top of taking care of our clients in Carolina Cares. We host our monthly food pop up at a barber school in SE Raleigh so drop off must be taken to volunteer homes either in SE Raleigh or Wake Forest. We can accept multiple drop offs . Can do pick ups within a reasonable distance from SE Raleigh .

People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
