Stronger Together Outreach Food Pantry is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving families and individuals across Tipton County and surrounding West Tennessee communities. We provide free food distribution, community meals, and support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged populations.
We serve families with children, seniors, and individuals experiencing food insecurity. Many of the households we assist have limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables, so garden produce is greatly appreciated. Donations are distributed free of charge through scheduled pantry days and outreach events, and we are committed to safe handling and timely distribution.
We are grateful for fresh, homegrown fruits and vegetables and work to ensure they quickly reach families in need.
Donations are accepted by appointment. Please contact us in advance to schedule a drop off time. We respond promptly and work to ensure fresh produce is received and distributed quickly to families in need.
Please call before you come. We can arrange for picking up the food from you if you’d like.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
