Five Point Center, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit serving the residents of Graham County, North Carolina. Our mission is to restore hope and build resilience by addressing food insecurity, strengthening community connections, and helping individuals and families overcome barriers to health and stability. We operate a Client Choice Food Pantry, emergency food pantry, TEFAP distribution program, and weekly community meals, ensuring that no one is turned away because of their circumstances. We serve families with children, older adults, veterans, individuals with disabilities, people in recovery, working families struggling to make ends meet, and anyone experiencing food insecurity. In a rural county with limited grocery access and few social service resources, many households rely on our programs as a consistent source of nutritious food.

In addition to food assistance, Five Point Center provides recovery support services, digital literacy and workforce training, resource navigation, and other programs designed to help people build long-term stability. We believe that meeting immediate needs while creating pathways to opportunity is the best way to strengthen our community. We especially welcome donations of fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, dairy products, whole grains, and other nutritious foods that help families prepare healthy meals at home. Shelf-stable items such as canned vegetables, beans, soups, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, rice, and low-sodium, low-sugar products are always appreciated. Personal hygiene items, diapers, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and other household essentials are also in constant demand, as these items cannot be purchased with SNAP benefits. Every donation—whether food, hygiene supplies, financial support, or volunteer time—helps ensure that our neighbors have access to nutritious meals, compassionate support, and the resources they need to thrive. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Graham County.

Yes. We are happy to accept donations outside of our regular donation hours as long as arrangements are made in advance. Please contact us ahead of time to schedule a convenient drop-off or pickup. Gardeners do not need to donate to a different location on specific days of the week. All donations can be coordinated through Five Point Center. If you have a large harvest or need assistance transporting your donation, please let us know—we may be able to arrange a pickup, depending on staff and volunteer availability. To help us distribute your donation safely and efficiently, we ask that all produce be freshly harvested, clean, and in good condition.

We welcome food and household donations throughout the year. To ensure someone is available to receive your donation, we ask that you please call ahead before dropping off large donations. Donations can be delivered during our regular business hours, and staff or volunteers will be happy to assist with unloading if needed. If you have a large donation or are unable to transport items, please contact us—we may be able to arrange a pickup within Graham County, depending on staff and volunteer availability. We gladly accept unopened, unexpired food items and ask that fresh produce be clean and in good condition. Financial contributions are also greatly appreciated, as they allow us to purchase fresh, nutritious foods and other high-priority items based on current community needs. Most importantly, thank you for considering Five Point Center. Every donation, no matter the size, directly supports our neighbors and helps ensure that everyone in our community has access to healthy food and essential resources.
