Follow for UpdatesYes. The Trojan Food Pantry may be able to accept food donations at non-scheduled times when coordinated in advance and when drop-off occurs outside of active pantry operations. During the fall and spring semesters, the Trojan Food Pantry typically operates Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Because staff are serving students during those hours, preferred donation drop-off times on pantry service days are generally between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., before pantry operations begin. Friday drop-offs between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. may also be possible, especially for items that can remain fresh and usable for distribution the following week. Donors are encouraged to contact the pantry team in advance so we can confirm staff availability, storage capacity, food safety needs, and the best drop-off instructions. Gardeners generally do not need to donate to a different location on different days of the week unless otherwise coordinated with the pantry team. Special delivery instructions, including access to the loading dock for larger donations, can be provided once a donation time is confirmed.

From the Listing
Donors are encouraged to contact the Trojan Food Pantry team in advance to coordinate donation details, including delivery timing, food quantity, storage needs, and drop-off instructions. The Trojan Food Pantry typically operates Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the academic year. When possible, Mondays are often the preferred drop-off day so staff can receive, organize, and prepare donated items before pantry service days. For larger donations, including palletized deliveries, the pantry has access to a loading dock area behind the building that can accommodate deliveries. Please coordinate with our team in advance so we can confirm staff availability, delivery access, and any food safety or storage considerations. At this time, donation acceptance may depend on pantry operating schedules, staff availability, storage capacity, and the type of food being donated.
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

Send FeedbackThe Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
