With your expertise and outreach as an Extension Master Gardener, you can make a large impact on hunger in your community. connects home growers to food pantries, to help increase food security and overall health in America. We encourage you to donate fresh produce to a food pantry near you! Many Extension Master Gardeners not only have their own home gardens but also help manage demonstration gardens and community gardens. You can increase the health of your community by donating the fresh produce grown in those plots to a local food pantry.

      Food pantries are in constant need of donations of fresh food, to move away from so many canned goods and processed foods and offer healthier options to their clients. This is where home and community gardeners can make the largest impact!

      As Extension Master Gardeners, your communities listen to you and trust your expertise. You can significantly increase donations of fresh produce to pantries by encouraging your gardening community to donate extra produce. When gardeners come to us for help with gardening, we send them to you.
