Find a Pantry to Donate Food

Help your local food pantry get healthy fresh food from gardeners like you. The Feds Feed Families was created to help America’s food pantries offer healthy freshly harvested food during the growing season. Pantries usually see a decrease in donations but an increase in need during this time.

The Feds Feed Families food drive began as a response to the United We Serve Act of 2009, which called on Americans to serve in their communities to contribute to the nation's economic recovery. Feds Feed Families was created in the summer to address the significant increase in demand for food during the summer months when donations often decline. However, as hunger is year-round, Feds Feed Families encourages employees from all federal departments and agencies to participate throughout the year as they are able.

In an effort to dramatically increase the amount of healthy fresh food at America’s food pantries, Feds Feed Families and AmpleHarvest.org have been engaged in a collaborative partnership since 2014 enabling home/community gardeners employed by the government to donate garden produce to a local food pantry. If you are a home/community gardener, you can use the search below to find a food pantry near you that will eagerly accept your generous donation.
