The Arcadia Resource Pantry offers perishable and non-perishable food items (including special dietary items), personal care/hygiene items, and household supplies for all undergraduate and graduate students at Arcadia University, regardless of need level. We believe that students should not have to stress regarding how they will afford to pay for their next meal, study snacks, or personal care products. There are 2 pantry locations available for students to access. One is located directly on campus and the other is inside the student apartments complex. The resource pantry supports approximately 300-400 students, with more accessing the pantry as they become aware this resource is available on campus. We appreciate any donations, especially non-perishable foods and hygiene products. We appreciate anything that will help students thrive while attending Arcadia University.
We accept donations Monday through Friday. If there is a time either before 10am or after 3pm that works better for you, reach out via email to see if we are available and we would love to accept the donation.
Please use email to communicate with us, before bringing donations to Arcadia. We will communicate to arrange a day and time that works best to receive donations at Arcadia's Commons building.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
