We are a small Food Kitchen/Pantry. We serve around 50 meals daily 8am for breakfast and 3pm for dinner. Our food pantry is open 9am to 3pm Tuesday thru Thursday. We serve families, young adults, veterans, homeless, LGBTQIA communities and whoever needs food. Donations are graciously accepted. We welcome fresh produce as well as canned, currently we are in need of canned protein items, chicken, tuna, peanut butter etc..
We have some personal hygiene items but are always needing toilet paper, shampoo, razors, toothpaste tooth brushes, combs, hair brushes, etc. We have fridge and freezer items as well.
We are located in the rear of the building, please ring the doorbell and we will let you in. We serve meals twice daily and everyone is welcome. We love fresh vegetables as well as canned items. We are thankful for any donation that we receive and the people that we serve are happy that we are here to supplement their needs. We have received some very generous donations from the community and we have a food box located in the small local grocery store. The people that we serve are elderly, handicapped or low income families as well as individuals. Please come as you are. ALL ARE WELCOME 🤗 AT MARSHA’S KITCHEN TABLE.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
