Changin Your Life hosts mobile soup kitchens, food banks for low income families and veterans. We do our best to feed more than 500 people in needy community across Georgia. We believe in rebuilding, enhancing and strengthen education to optimize a well rounded southern community. We are looking for fresh healthy foods, foods that do not perish fast and items that can be pre-made for soup kitchens.
Yes we can accept food at non-scheduled times but it must be communicated with property first. Depending on the day and size a different location will be communicated for delivery. If this happens we will work diligently to make this a smooth transition for both the Gardeners and for our pantries. In case of questions of non-scheduled drop offs please call 404-418-8245.
Call or text before you come. We can arrange delivery for smaller loads. larger loads can be dropped off at location.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
