CUOC operates a food pantry on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and help those who live all throughout Randolph County. Our clients are always happy to receive any type of fresh produce. We also accept farm fresh eggs and meats that have been commercially processed. We gladly accept donations for our pantry throughout the week. Feel free to call us with any questions. 336-625-1500 ext 105.
Donations for the food pantry can be made Monday-Saturday 9:30-4:00. Look for the "Food Donations" door near the main parking lot. If you need to make a donation outside these times, or will have a large donation, please call before coming to ensure we will have hands to unload. 336-625-1500 ext. 105
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
