City Reach OKC

City Reach is a non-profit food pantry dedicated to meeting the felt needs in our city. We are a non-requirement pantry, meaning you do not have to live within our zip code, have an established address, or valid ID. Anyone with a need is welcome to receive pantry items and hygiene items. We serve up to 275 families per week and are growing rapidly. Our largest needs are canned goods, produce, and feminine hygiene products/baby items. We are grateful for any and all donations.

From the Listing

Please contact me before you come (preferably by email). Our pantry is located on the South end of The Gate Church. There is a long walkway facing East lined with tables and string lights. This is the location you will use. Sometimes the GPS will take you to the daycare across the parking lot, so calling for directions might be helpful.

ProducePedia

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
