Community Food Bank of Central Alabama

The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama's mission is to feed people in need today and foster collaborative solutions to end hunger tomorrow. We work with over 230 soup kitchens, church pantries and children backpack programs across 12 counties in Central Alabama, supplying them with various types of foods including meats, canned goods, fruits, vegetables, breads, rice, etc. We also manage a myriad of direct service programs such as our Kids Meals Campaign, Corner Market Mobile Grocery, Hospital Pantry Programs, and more!

Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
