We are first and foremost a food pantry. But we are also so much more than that. By compassionately serving individual households through food equity research, innovation, and distribution partnerships, Crossroads is revolutionizing food pantry services and building nutrition-stable communities. We serve individuals, families, and seniors and serve an average of 1,100 families a month. We love being able to offer a healthy, fresh variety of food. Our shoppers are also grateful for food and household items.
We can also accept small donations on the 1st Saturday of each month from 8:30am-11:45am. Gardeners can bring donations on those days to the main double doors at the front entrance. For small general/household donations come through the main double doors at the front entrance and let them know you have a donation for the Market.
For small donations come through the main double doors at the front entrance and let them know you have a produce/general donation for the Market. If it's large enough to fit on a pallet you can pull up to the dock doors at the front and let them know that you have a donation for the Market.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
