We have been providing food for struggling individuals and families for nearly thirty years through our own Food Pantry. Targeted mostly for people who have more month than money and cannot access Napa’s Food Bank, the bags of food we provide make a big difference. In addition to helping clients with their food needs as well as case by case emergency needs, we also work with the city to stock the pantries of people moving from being houseless into housing - can you imagine what a gift it is to walk into your new home and know you have the basics to fend for yourself? We also are home to Feeding It Forward, providing food resources in Napa Valley https://fifnv.org/

ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
