Dream Builders Mission

Dream Builders Mission (DBM) cares for the Needy and Homeless in the City of Tampa. Our mission is to alleviate suffering and promote a pathway to Self-Sufficiency for our neighbors. Since 2013, DBM has supported thousands of people in the Sulfur Springs neighborhood with Food, Hygiene Products, Clothing, School Supplies, and Job Searches. Every week our clients request fresh produce. We currently do not have enough fresh produce to meet the high demand. Therefore, we receiving fresh produce from your organization would be a huge blessing!

We also would appreciate kosher, halal, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free food donations! Plus, we can always use new underwear, socks, toiletries, blankets, and gently used clothing to give to the Homeless population that we serve.

Yes, the gardeners can donate at non-scheduled time. However, it needs to be prearranged with Pastor Harrison Soberanis to meet the gardeners at Dream Builders Mission before hand. Due to our gate being locked, when we are not in the office during the regularly scheduled hours.

ProducePedia

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
