This is a food pantry that serves Gateway Technical College students in need. We serve all kinds of households: veterans, LGBTQ students, people with disabilities, homeless students, families with children of all ages. About 1/3 of Gateway students are food insecure, and this support helps them work toward their academic and professional goals.
And it makes a difference. Last school year students who received food assistance from Gateway had 10 percentage points higher successful course completion rates (passing with a grade of C or higher) compared to similar students who did not receive food assistance.

Want an email when this food pantry updates their hours or other information?
Please call before you come to ensure someone can accept the donation. The pantry is next to the campus's main entrance on 30th Avenue in Kenosha (behind the bus stop). I would put 3534 30th Ave in your GPS to get to the right entrance.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
