Grace United Methodist Food Pantry

The Grace United Methodist Food Pantry serves approximately 65 families each week. There are between one and eleven members in each of the families we serve. We serve all people who are in need of food and meet eligibility requirements including seniors, young families, grandparents, homeless persons, veterans, and disabled individuals. We serve Merritt Island residents and once per month we serve all people from all zip codes in Brevard County. We would like to serve our families a greater variety of fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables to meet their nutritional needs.

From the Listing

Our food pantry is open to the public every Thursday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. We can arrange delivery based on the donors schedule. We are located in the Fellowship Hall of our campus.

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
