The Jacket Pantry is a food bank that is supported by Kingfisher Public Schools and by the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank. This program serves families of kids who are currently attending Kingfisher Public Schools and parents call to set up pickup times twice a month. The pantry also participates in the backpack program- sending food home with kids who might need some food throughout the weekend. The pantry would LOVE donated healthy food items- like fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as low-sodium, sugar, and fat options, but anything helps!

Please email or call so someone can meet you at the Jacket Pantry to accept donations.
Call before you come is the preferred method, but other arrangements could be made.
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
