Kehilat Food Pantry

Kehilat Food Pantry is a Non-Profit Kosher food pantry serving the local Queens Community. We operate on an open market concept where clients can come and pick up whatever food they would like for themselves and their families. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our client's numbers increased exponentially resulting in a need to expand our operation including the recruitment of formal management and additional volunteers. However, even though we are a large non-profit, our budget remains that of a small organization and does not meet the ever-growing needs of our organization. Therefore, we are seeking the assistance of your organization to help provide us funding so that we can provide for our volunteers so that they in turn can/better serve our clients and community during our daily distribution events. Any funds received will go towards food for our volunteers, as well as help, pay for operational needs such as toiletries, heaters, and a permanent tent for our driveway to provide weather protection for our volunteers and clients during daily operations Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
