Mount Ida Community Food Pantry

Mount Ida Food Pantry provides services for those residing in Troy, NY. We provide our guests with shelf stable foods, fresh produce, meats, eggs, cheese, and milk as well as personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, infant needs and pet food. We are run solely by volunteers and are funded by grants, donations from area businesses as well as private donations of monetary gifts and food/hygiene items from community members. Our guests range from single member households, elderly households, vegan/vegetarian household, families and those seeking help but needing to follow strict religious or cultural beliefs such as Halal or Kosher. Our guests all LOVE when we have fresh, healthy produce such as fruits, veggies and herbs to offer. We are always open to receiving any fresh produce, farm fresh eggs and Kosher or Halal meats.

We also provide shelf stable foods in our outdoor pantry for folks in need when the pantry is closed. Items are restocked by volunteers of the food pantry or caring neighbors who jyst want to help. Our pantry is open every Saturday from 10:00- 11:45am and we serve on average of 70+ households. Mount Ida is also always in need of volunteers.
