Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors

Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors is dedicated to fighting food insecurity and promoting nutrition in Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties. Each month, we serve 3,000 individuals, primarily young families, Hispanic households, and seniors who struggle to secure enough healthy food. Monetary donations are accepted on our website, and we encourage you to make a monthly pledge to help us fight food insecurity in our community. Your support can help us continue providing these vital resources to our neighbors. Distribution is by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Register in person.

From the Listing

We accept food drop-offs from 10 am to 4 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We welcome all shelf-stable, non-perishable food items, including oil, flour, masa, and of course fresh produce.

ProducePedia

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
