Ozarks Food Harvest is the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri, serving 270 nonprofit organizations across 28 Ozarks counties. The Food Bank’s network of pantries and programs feed thousands of people each year, providing an annual distribution of 23 million meals.
Ozarks Food Harvest accepts donations of shelf stable items along with fresh produce (including fruits and vegetables from your garden or orchard) on Mondays - Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to Noon.
To donate, please use our parking lot entrance off of Packer Road and enter the doors marked "Agency Entrance." Staff will be available to help you unload your donation and provide you with a donation receipt. Thank you for your help fighting hunger in the Ozarks!
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
