Petroleum Valley Food Cupboard

The Petroleum Valley Food Cupboard began around 1970 as a small food cupboard serving the people of the Karns City Area (Pennsylvania) School District. We have expanded into four Butler County, Pennsylvania Townships and we serve the entire Northeastern portion of Butler County, Pennsylvania. We accept donations from a variety of sources, including individuals, church groups, civic groups, businesses, industry and other nonprofit organizations. We are operated solely by volunteers and we have no paid staff.

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
