Redford Interfaith Relief is a Client Choice Food Pantry, Clothing Room, and Connection to Resources for Redford Township. We service anyone in need in Redford Township. We service over 225 households a month, and our clients range from singles, young families, to seniors. We also have a Homebound Senior Delivery Program where we deliver twice monthly to ensure access to fresh food. We love fresh healthy food, non-perishable, and we also give personal care and cleaning items to clients monthly.
Donations Welcome Tuesdays & Fridays 10am-2pm, Wednesdays 10-4. You can call and make other arrangements if needed. Please park in the parking lot and go to the side door between the buildings.
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
