Safe Harbor Crisis Center

Our organization is a domestic violence and sexual assault resource center that serves all of Davis County, UT. Some of the services we provide include shelter, supportive services and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, as well as education, awareness and resources to our community. We serve mainly adults (all genders) and their families, if they have dependents. Our shelter has capacity for 30 clients, however, we also offer resources to other clients that do not stay in our shelter. We would love to have more healthy fresh food, as well as, gluten free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options whenever possible. Along with that, we would also like to receive snack and comfort food options such as, cookies, chips, dino nuggets, etc.

From the Listing

It would be best if these food donations could be coordinated a few days in advance if possible, to give us time to prepare. If that is not the case, please call before you come to let us know and to get the exact location. The address that is currently listed is not the exact address for the donation drop-off. Due to confidentiality purposes, we are unable to share the exact location of our shelter through this website.

ProducePedia

ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
