Salvation Army Madison, IN

Our program is a food give away for anyone needing food. We give out produce, bakery items, and so much more. The only food item not given is meat. Many families and single individuals use the food give away as extra food throughout the week. In one month about 100 families, 60 males, and 40 females are helped. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12pm to 1 pm during our soup kitchen. Food donations and tolietries are welcome. Soup kitchen feeds Monday-Friday 9am to 10pm and 12pm to 1pm.

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites

The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
