We recommend calling or emailing the pantry ahead of time to be sure their days/hours of operation have not changed.
Siskiyou Food Assistance
Since 2001, SFA has been a nutritional safety net for those with urgent need in South Siskiyou County, CA. We distribute balanced boxes of food, which always includes fresh produce, for people to prepare at home. For those without a home, we can provide foods easy to prepare. Photo ID and proof of Siskiyou residency is required. We use a drive-thru distribution model to serve the 700+ families currently in our service. Food is available on Wednesdays from 11am-3pm except on major holidays. We have plenty of refrigeration space for your produce.

ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!

State Cooperative Extension Web Sites
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
