Transform (https://transformoutreach.org/) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community resource center that provides essential services to those in need. Our facility operates food and clothing banks on Wednesdays and Sundays, serves hot meals on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and offers free laundry service every Friday morning. Additionally, we provide showers and free haircuts monthly, and through a partner distribute government-funded cell phones, tablets, and phone services. We are also connected with a network of other area organizations, allowing us to refer clients to a wide range of essential services, including health insurance, transportation assistance, housing possibilities, etc.
Please call or email ahead to confirm and arrange for delivery. Local pick-up is possible depending upon quantity, time and distance from our location.
ProducePedia
ProducePedia is a free resource that covers the types of fresh produce that can be delivered to food pantries. Each entry includes information on color, taste, and possible uses. People unfamiliar with the vegetable or fruit will learn how to use it, and those who are familiar with it still might learn a fun fact or two!
The Cooperative Extension sites have a wealth of information for any backyard gardener. Once you go to the site (each one if very different from the others) look for a link for “homes and gardens”, “landscape”, “consumer horticulture”, etc. to find information on improving your backyard garden. Neighboring state sites may offer information your own state’s site lacks.
