Our registration forms require food pantries to give us contact information that may include name, address, and other information needed to enable gardeners to contact and locate a pantry. You are encouraged but not required to include your e-mail address to make it easier for growers to contact you. If you provide an email address, AmpleHarvest.org will also use it both to confirm your registration and activation to you and to send you periodic updates about the AmpleHarvest.org service. You may choose to not receive the updates or to stop receving them at anytime by sending a request to customer service at [email protected].
You may also optionally upload a photograph of your food pantry. By uploading or emailing a photograph to the Site, you confirm that:
- You are authorized to provide the photograph to AmpleHarvest.org
- The photograph accurately represents your food pantry
- Any/all people appearing in the photograph have provided you with explicit approval to be photographed and for the photograph to be uploaded to the Site
- You and anyone appearing in the photograph explicitly agree to:

We encourage gardeners and other donors as well as registered food pantries to send to AmpleHarvest.org, emails, photographs and videos showing or describing the donations made or received. By emailing or uploading textual, image or video information about a donation, you confirm that:
- You are authorized to provide the textual, image or video information to AmpleHarvest.org
- The textual, image or video information accurately represents the donation to the food pantry
- Any/all people described or appearing in the textual, image or video information have provided you with explicit approval to be written about, photographed or videoed and for the textual, image or video information to be uploaded or emailed to the Site
- Any/all people described or appearing in the textual, image or video information explicitly agree to:
- Having the textual, image or video information on the Site

AmpleHarvest.org will not publish or otherwise distribute your name or other personally identifying information (or that of others appearing in the textual, image or video) without your prior explicit consent. Instead, AmpleHarvest.org may elect to use your initials and city/state if needed.
We do not collect or store sensitive information such as credit card or social security numbers. Information such as credit card numbers etc. used for making donations to AmpleHarvest.org are received and processed and secured by third party services such as PayPal, Network for Good and Stripe. AmpleHarvest.org never receives this sensitive information.
Internet Protocol Address:
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer, table, mobile phone or other such Internet connected devices (“Computer”) when you use the Internet. We do monitor and retain the IP address from visitors to our Site who are registering a new food pantry or looking for a food pantry to determine the location (city/state) the visitor is located in as part of our effort to both better improve our program and to assure that only food pantries based in the United States are added to the Site. The web hosting service we use does store the IP address in its server logs.
