Weekly Harvest Update

August 16, 2013

It’s amazing what can happen in just one week!

We love it when people talk about us! Here is just a bit of the great, free publicity that our friends are giving by talking about us on their websites.

Community Commons featured AmpleHarvest.org on their list of “Online Tools for Fresher Food” post along side some other really inspiring organizations.

Blogger Amber, at Swamp Pixie Herbal, featured AmpleHarvest.org alongside Mother Earth News this week. Thanks, Amber!

And, last but not least, Good Food Jobs featured our very own Pantry Outreach Coordinator, Leanne Mazurick on their blog. Ain’t she cute!?

Other than saving the planet and growing vegetables, what has our fearless leader, Gary Oppenheimer, been up to? Among many other things, Gary had a meeting this week with Campbell’s Soup Company in Camden, NJ. Afterwards he took a delivery of fresh produce from his garden to the Cathedral Kitchen near by.

And, so she doesn’t feel left out we’ll mention that Grower Outreach Coordinator, Emily Fulmer, learned this week that a photo she took of her backyard, urban chicken flock is going to be featured in the upcoming 2014 Chickens Magazine Calendar!

Here’s an inspiring list of all the food pantries across the nation that registered on AmpleHarvest.org this week:

PCMA Food Pantry of Pickering, OH
Church of God of the Union Assembly Albertville, AL
Eastside Community Ministry Zanesville, OH
Pathways Birmingham, AL
Hope 7 Food Pantry Troy, NY
Caldwell Temple Soup Kitchen Bronx, NY

Have a great weekend. Thanks for all your support!
